Raise your harm and a iconic NYC cab will stop !

New York, at the mention of its name, conjures images of skyscrapers, steaming sidewalks, police sirens…. and yellow NYC cab.

Who hasn’t imagined crossing the Brooklyn Bridge to reach Manhattan, its bubbling energy? Who hasn’t dreamed of meeting Robert de Niro driving his NY cab ?

This image evokes all of that at once. That’s why I chose it as an iconic image of a place.

Photography represents my desire to capture the essence of a place. Whether it’s a wild landscape, a capital city, or something else.

Of the tens of thousands of images I have in stock, few are as representative as this one.

I remember well the inspiration I had when I saw these padlocks overlooking the bridge’s traffic. I began with some cars but when the 1st NYC cab appears, I understand what the point was.

Then In a few shots, without much thought, this photo was born.

It was during my first trip in New York and t I felt so good. I felt so natural to walk here and there. The weather was so good on those early days of spring.
